Research and Training Center for Community Development (RTCCD) in collaboration with Ha Nam Provincial Women’s Union implemented the 5th training course on “Healthcare and Early Development for Infants” in 03 days from October 27th – 29th , 2014.
Following the 4th training course of the “Learning Clubs on Women’s Health and Infant Development”, Research and Training Center for Community Development (RTCCD) in collaboration with Ha Nam Provincial Women’s Union implemented the 5th training course on “Healthcare and Early Development for Infants” in 03 days from October 27th – 29th , 2014.
The course focuses on providing club facilitators the following knowledge:
Attending this training course, Dr. Nguyen Trong An – Nutritionist for mothers and children guided participants how to diversify an infant’s diets and how to teach an infant to eat independently. Besides, Dr. An also provided knowledge about the most concerning issue for Vietnamese mothers which was infantile anorexia, causes and solutions. Joining the 3rd day of the training course, Dr. Vu Thi Thuy Lan – Head of Green Pine Clinic talked about “Common diseases in infants aged 7-12 months and treatment”. The two doctors answered many questions from participants, for instance, how much should we feed infants per meal? How do we teach our children to eat independently? What are the causes of infantile anorexia? What should we do when an infant has fever? After taking paracetamol, the infant vomited, then what should we do?
After attending the training course, the participants felt more confident and ready to apply the knowledge to the clubs in their communes.
