On 23 and 24 January 2026, the Research and Training Centre for Community Development (RTCCD), in coordination with the Quang Ninh Provincial Centre for Disease Control, conducted supervision of the implementation of the programme “Promoting the holistic development of children through training in positive parenting skills in five provinces and cities of Vietnam” (EM-THRIVE) integrated into Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) sessions at 11 Commune Health Stations/ward health stations in the province, including: Tuan Chau, Tan Dan, Quang La, Thanh Son, Dong Mai, Minh Thanh, Song Khoai, Ha Long (Van Don), Phuong Nam, Trung Vuong, and Phuong Dong.

From Quang Ninh Provincial Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Doan Thi Hanh – Head of the Reproductive Health Department and staff from relevant departments participated in the supervision. From RTCCD, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam – Project Coordinator and project officer joined the supervision.

Through supervision, it was recorded that the commune health workers at the stations proactively implemented the programme according to the guidance and initially showed the effectiveness of integrating the programme into Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) sessions. However, besides the achieved results, there were still some difficulties and limitations. The supervision team directly discussed and provided feedback to the commune health workers at the stations to draw experience for the next implementation sessions.
