From March 30 to April 2, 2026, the Tuyen Quang Department of Health organized four training courses for village health workers in the Quan Ba – Yen Minh area. A total of 102 village health workers participated in the training sessions.
- Training Course 1 (March 30–31): Participants from Tung Vai and Nghia Thuan communes. Venue: Tung Vai Commune People’s Committee Hall
- Training Course 2 (March 30–31): Participants from Quan Ba and Can Ty communes. Venue: Tam Son Commune Health Station Hall
- Training Course 3 (April 1–2): Participants from Lung Tam and Duong Thuong communes. Venue: Dong Ha Commune Health Station Hall
- Training Course 4 (April 1–2): Participants from Bach Dich, Mau Due, and Thang Mo communes. Venue: Yen Minh Regional Health Center Hall

The training courses focused on the program “Positive Parenting Skills Training to Promote Holistic Early Childhood Development” with the following objectives:
- Strengthen understanding of the program, intervention structure, and implementation approach
- Equip village health workers with essential skills in child first aid, play-based stimulation for child development, the role of husbands/fathers in childcare, and maternal and child nutrition
- Support commune health staff in facilitating parenting guidance sessions during the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) sessions at commune health stations and outreach vaccination sites
Each training course lasted two days. Throughout the sessions, village health workers participated actively and attentively in both theoretical lectures and practical exercises facilitated by the trainers.

In addition to commune health staff, village health workers play an important role in supporting local health stations in program implementation and community mobilization for immunization activities.
Following the successful completion of the four training courses, the Tuyen Quang Department of Health is planning to organize four additional training courses for village health workers in the coming period.
