On March 9–10, 2026, the Research and Training Centre for Community Development (RTCCD), in collaboration with the Can Tho Provincial Centre for Disease Control (CDC), organized a training course for commune health workers at the My Xuyen Regional Health Centre.

The training team included four provincial-level instructors from the Can Tho CDC (formerly Soc Trang), along with technical staff from RTCCD.
The training brought together 30 commune health workers from Can Tho City (formerly Soc Trang province). These participants play a key role as community-based facilitators in delivering parenting support and promoting Early Childhood Development at the grassroots level.
During the course, trainees were equipped with knowledge and practical skills related to the Positive Parenting Skills program, with a focus on supporting families in nurturing and caring for young children.
The sessions applied a flexible and interactive approach, combining:
- Theoretical instruction
- Group discussions
- Hands-on practice
- Experience sharing
