On the morning of May 14th, 2020, for the main purpose of protecting public health, there will be critical intervention strategies or remedies to immediately terminate hunting, trading, killing and consuming wild animal activities. It is leading to prevent the source of dangerous infections such as viruses, germs and other parasites that can be harmful to human health => The most urgent work needs to be done: Sending proposal to the Prime Minister to give instructions to terminate hunting, killing, trading and consuming wild animals.
As I mentioned before, in both Vietnam and China, the wild animal’s products are always overrated by their benefit. These products often use as ethnic medicine, for example, tiger bone glue enhances human health, rhino horns can treat cancer, detoxication and stroke… Consuming some kind of food from wild animals may improve men’s strength… Ivories can be made from jewelry, decoration, or these are also considered a luxury product. It is understandable that the citizen’s income increase leading to higher income class begins to shopping and spending their money on luxury items which including food, medicine, jewelry, fashion items, art and craft products, decoration, gifts. All of these products are made of wild animals. Therefore, the Government needs to enforce strict policies to ban and prohibit activities such as hunting, killing, trading wild animals sooner or later.
- It is undeniable that the damage of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused Vietnam and other countries around the world a huge loss of thousands of people died. The economic losses also amount to billions of dollars, and its impact will continue for many years to come. We have to act faster to prevent the spread of disease that helps to reduce pain and human death. In Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, people are in the habit of hunting, trading, even extirpating wild animals. Simultaneously, Vietnam is the supply place for wild animal products as well as shipping those products to the market in China and Taiwan. Meat and internal organs of wild animals contain various dangerous pathogens like the SARS virus or Coronavirus that the human immune system cannot resist. For that reason, it is an essential stage to stop hunting, trading, killing and consuming wild animals.
- All animals have the right to live equally, along with the ecosystem relationship between animals and humans is undeniable. As a result, protecting wild animals is a considerable humane action that shows the progression of human civilization, as well as preserving the ecological balance.
- To effectively enforce the law come into life, there will need to boost BEHAVIOR CHANGE OF COMMUNICATIONS – I have acknowledged the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development coordinated with Wild Animal Protection organizations and CHANGE organization… conducting several media activities on newspapers, television and social network about protecting wild animals, prevent diseases, also cutting the bridge that transmits animal-to-human diseases. Especially, EMULATING EDUCATION – emphasis the role of the Party officer. Since only the Party officers, the rich and the Government officials are the people who consume wild animals. At the same time, it is necessary to create sustainable livelihoods for people, especially the ones living near the forest area to decrease hunting, killing and trapping wild animals – this is the beginning phase of illegally trading all kind of wild animals. Also, guiding and encouraging citizens who live in buffer zones of national parks, nature reserve area, protective forest area attending to protect and preserve wild animals, contributing to reserve primitive wild species.
- The number of patients who are positive with COVID-19 is over 4 million with 280.000 of death people around the world (the number is continually updating). There will be people who died by the COVID-19 virus in just a few seconds in the world. This means the disease is turning out to be more and more complicated and out of control because the virus gets used to the “climate change” condition. The COVID-19 virus seems to be an alarm to all countries over the world to resolutely prohibit trading and consuming wild animals. This will be an important opportunity for the Vietnamese Government indicating its leading role to prevent the COVID-19 virus in the area, also put a stop to the diseases that come from animals that may flare-up in the future by terminating illegal trading wild animals.
