RTCCD’s logo

The logo of the Research and Training Centre for Community Development (RTCCD) was designed in 1996 by a dedicated architect as a gift to the organization’s leadership. At the time, RTCCD was one of the few non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Vietnam, committed to pioneering community development and improving people’s quality of life.

Symbolism and Meaning of RTCCD’s logo

A Fun Anecdote About RTCCD’s Logo

Around 1999, Dr. Vu The Long, a renowned archaeologist, humorously commented upon seeing the RTCCD logo: “This name is too hard to remember! I’ll just call it ‘Rượu-Thịt-Chó-Cả-Đêm’ (Wine-Meat-Dog-All-Night) for fun!” Then, in the 2000s, as Vietnam experienced an economic boom, he jokingly remarked: “Now it should be ‘Rượu-Thịt-Chó-Chân-Dài’ (Wine-Meat-Dog-Long-Legs) to match the times!” This lighthearted story has been fondly shared among RTCCD members ever since.

RTCCD – A Home for Those Dedicated to Community Development

RTCCD is more than just an organization; it is a home where passionate individuals come together for the betterment of the community. Many of the early members of RTCCD have gone on to become leaders of major NGOs and even provincial government officials.

With integrity, enthusiasm, and responsibility, RTCCD continues its journey toward contributing to Vietnam’s sustainable development—a better country for all generations.
