From 10–12 June 2026, the Research and Training Centre for Community Development (RTCCD) organized monitoring and technical support visits to several commune health stations in former Ha Giang Province, now part of Tuyen Quang Province, to support the integration of program activities into routine immunization services at local health facilities.
During the three-day mission, the three-member support team was divided to assist commune health stations conducting immunization sessions in Lung Tam, Quan Ba, Tung Vai, Meo Vac, Dong Van, Tat Nga, Pho Bang, and Lung Phin communes.
Despite challenges related to geography, economic conditions, and limited equipment, commune health staff and village health workers successfully delivered guidance sessions for grandparents and parents bringing children for vaccination. Caregivers showed strong interest in the activities prepared by health staff and village health workers, actively listened to the sessions, participated enthusiastically in discussions, answered questions, and practiced the caregiving skills introduced during the activities.

Although each commune had different local contexts and implementation conditions, commune health workers and village health workers demonstrated effective coordination and strong collaboration in facilitating parenting guidance sessions.

Following each practical session, commune health staff and village health workers received feedback and coaching from supervisors on facilitation methods and communication skills to help make future sessions more engaging, interactive, and effective for participating caregivers.
