Meeting and working with leaders of Ha Nam Provincial Confederation of Labour.

On the afternoon of September 27, 2022, there was a working meeting between the three parties: the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Ha Nam Provincial Confederation of Labour and the Research and Training Center for Community Development (RTCCD).

In addition, there are officials from 3 sides and 5 representatives of 5 factories in Ha Nam industrial zones.

The session discussed the introduction of the online learning program “First Journey of Life” to reach industrial park workers in Ha Nam province. Courses in the program will increase knowledge and skills for workers to properly care for children, helping them to develop their full potential. In the future, home therapy skills instruction courses for children who need special education (autism, speech delay, hyperactivity, retardation) will be implemented, providing opportunities for inclusion of workers’ children.

The goal of the program is that children are cared for according to the principle of comprehensive child development in the family and are cared for safely at the child care service.

On December 25, 2019, the Prime Minister issued Decision 1896/QD-TTg promulgating the program “Nutrition care for the first 1000 days of life to prevent maternal and child malnutrition, improve the stature of Vietnamese people”. On that basis, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour cooperates with RTCCD  deployed in industrial parks in Hanoi and Hanoi with the goal of 1 million industrial park workers in 2022 – 2024 to be trained in positive parenting skills, Ms. Do Hong Van – Head of Women’s Affairs Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour shared.

On the part of the leader of the Ha Nam Provincial Confederation of Labour, Mr. Trinh Van Bung feels that the project is very feasible and promising. The Ha Nam Provincial Confederation of Labour will create all conditions to promote the program to workers of factories in the area, creating spreading power. In addition, the province will coordinate with the departments to implement the program and is responsible for urging and promoting the program.

Ms. Thuy, representative of JY Plasteel Vina Co., Ltd, the company has about 4000 workers with 40% of female workers who are in the pregnancy and raising children under 2 years old, feels that the program is really useful for women in general and female workers in the industrial park in particular. She looks forward to the earliest implementation of the project and will cooperate with the female workers in the factory to participate.
