Compliance statement

INTRODUCTION

The Research and Training Center for Community Development (RTCCD) is a scientific and technological organization in Vietnam. RTCCD was established under Decision No. 677/TC-LHH on September 26, 1998, by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) and has been operating in accordance with the Charter of operation issued by VUSTA in Decision No. 678 / TC-LHH on September 26, 1998.

RTCCD has been working in the following areas:

COMMITMENTS

RTCCD is committed to complying with laws and regulations in Vietnam.

  1. As an organization operates in the area of researching, training, public health policy advocacy and providing activities related to children; RTCCD is committed to complying with the Vietnamese government’s regulations on child protection and following international conventions on protection of the rights of the child, conventions promoting development of ecological health, ecological safety, One Health, combating climate change.
  2. Be committed to complying with the recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), in the activities of examination, counseling, and providing health care services for people (Integrated Management of Childhood Illness by WHO IMCI, Care for Child Development by WHO/UNICEF, Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases according to UN High level meeting on NCDs 2018, transparency and accountability in public policy advocacy under WHO FCTC treaty)
  3. Be committed to complying with and sharing WHO’s recommendations to the community, through intervention project activities, training, conferences and sharing on the social media (such as TV, Newspaper, YouTube, and Facebook).
  4. For the implementation of research; RTCCD is committed to fully implementing the research approval process (including research topic approval and research ethical approval).
  5. RTCCD commits not to cooperate and receive funding from businesses/organizations that have conflicts of interest with the community’s health in general or cause negative impacts on the ecological environment (e.g. pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers that produce formula milk or breas milk substitutes, manufacturers that produce asbestos-containing materials, businesses / organizations involve in the construction of coal-fired power plants, alcohol, tobacco and sugar-sweetened beverage manufacturers).
  6. RTCCD does not fund or carry out activities related to politics and religions.
  7. RTCCD is committed to transparency and accountability in terms of operations and finances for government agencies, donors and beneficiaries.
  8. RTCCD does not encourage or engage in violent, terrorist, or money laundering activities, nor transfers funds to any individual / organization participating in these activities.

These fundamental commitments are applicable to all activities of project, research, training and services provided by RTCCD.
