From 11–14 May 2026, the Research and Training Centre for Community Development (RTCCD), in collaboration with the Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Health and the Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC), conducted monitoring visits to Positive Parenting Skills sessions integrated into the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) at commune health stations and village-based vaccination sites across Tuyen Quang Province.

The monitoring team consisted of provincial-level trainers from Tuyen Quang, coordinated by the Provincial Department of Health and CDC, together with three RTCCD staff members. During the mission, the team visited vaccination sites at commune health stations, outreach vaccination points in villages, as well as Dong Van General Hospital, Yen Minh General Hospital, and Meo Vac General Hospital.

Despite challenges related to geography, transportation, and limited equipment, commune health workers successfully delivered the parenting sessions. Caregivers actively participated by watching instructional videos on child caregiving practices, listening to health workers’ guidance, and practicing the skills demonstrated in the videos. They also engaged enthusiastically in discussions with commune and village health workers to deepen their understanding of the training content.

Following each session, commune and village health workers received supportive feedback from the monitoring team on class facilitation and organization. Additional coaching was provided on the effective use of instructional videos and hands-on learning tools to further strengthen the quality and impact of future sessions.
